Zusammenfassung

Eine Art, die infolge Übernutzung und Ziegenweide auf wenige kleine Teilvorkommen in Höhenlagen südspanischer Gebirge zurückgedrängt wurde und heute wirtschaftlich ohne Bedeutung ist. In Südeuropa wird sie gelegentlich zu Aufforstungen herangezogen und in Mitteleuropa als unverwechselbarer, attraktiver Parkbaum kultiviert.
