Abstract

A new method using the differential part of a DTA curve for calculating calorimetric data is reported. These method allows to obtain much better results of heat transitions above 350°C than the usual one.

For calculating the area which is proportional to the heat tran — sitions a recorded DTA curve is used up to the peak minimum respectively peak maximum. If we double these area we have an area being equal to the area got of the original DTA curve. Since we have equal areas these me — thod seems to be a good one for the calculation of calorimetric datas. The part of shape of the original DTA curve leading from minimum / maxi — mum to the base line is caused through different apparatus parameter and can be neglected.
