Summary
Direct noninvasive measurements of isodose distribution was not possible yet in brachytherapy. By using a gamma camera with SPECT imaging, we measured Compton photons scattered by tissue interaction in order to quantify isodose distribution resulting from a Low-dose-Ir-192-source (45 mCi). The effective local tissue dose seems to correlate to the isocount rate.
