Abstract

Highly precise spectroscopic studies of the purely leptonic muonium atom are of interest for tests of the standard theory of the electroweak interaction and for the accurate determination of fundamental constants. The ground state hyperfine splitting, the n=2 Lamb shift and the 1S–2S interval are particularly interesting for both theory and experiment.
