Abstract
The subject of high energy elementary particle reactions involving nuclei received rather short shrift at the conference, so I allow myself a few remarks on the general developments as well as some more detailed comments.

It has been suggested to me by J. Kühn that the puzzling “turnup” in α at low PT may be an artifact of plotting at fixed Y or θ and will disappear when plotting at fixed X. The experiment mentioned is D. Garbutt et al., Physics Letters 67B 355 (1977).
