Zusammenfassung
Der gewöhnliche Begriff der Orthogonalität zweier Funktionen in einem Intervall kann in naheliegender Weise durch Hinzunahme der Ableitungen dieser Funktionen gemäß Formel (2) verallgemeinert werden. Für das diesen Orthogonalisierungsbedingungen unterworfene Polynomsystem wird mit Hilfe der Variationsrechnung eine verallgemeinerte Rodrigues-Formel abgeleitet.
