Die neue Bildungskrise

Zusammenfassung

Das letzte Jahrzehnt war gekennzeichnet durch zahlreiche bahnbrechende Produkte der Informationstechnik, hohe Umsatzsteigerungen der zugehörigen Industrie sowie einen drastischen Anstieg der produzierten Information. Diese Entwicklung wird sich fortsetzen. Die informationelle Umwelt des Menschen wird sich dadurch schneller und schneller wandeln, die Informationstechnik wird weite Bereiche des Arbeitslebens erobern, die «neuen Medien» werden die Technik dichter und dichter an den Menschen heranrücken. Damit wird auch das Selbstverständnis des Menschen berührt sein, seine geistigen Leistungen werden nicht mehr allein stehen. — In welchem Maße dies alles wirklich passieren wird, versucht dieses Kapitel im letzten Abschnitt dadurch zu klären, daß es die Kräfte analysiert, die diese Entwicklungen vorwärtsdrängen bzw, bremsen.
