Abstract
In this paper, some ideas concerning the numerical solution of incorrectly posed problems are presented. Under suitable restrictions on regularizing sets one is able to find bounds for the approximation error in a quite convenient way. By approximating data and solution by finite element functions the problem is reduced to an optimization problem which can be solved in a numerically stable way by well-known methods.
