Abstract
Here we want to discuss a field irrelevant to interpolation, but in which a nearminimizer for an L p,q -functional also arises in a natural way. In the theory of ill-posed problems (see, e.g., [Ki]), important part is played by the Tikhonov regularization method described below. Suppose A : X → Y is an injective and bounded but, in general, not boundedly invertible linear operator from a Hilbert space X to a Hilbert space Y.
