The commutator subgroup of the full modular group is the last case to which we apply the theory of Part I. It is chosen as an example of a group of positive genus. The fact that the completion X of Γcom\H is an elliptic curve gives additional structure, not present for the groups Γmod and Γ
of genus 0. Apart from giving examples for Part I, this chapter discusses some new aspects as well.
- Theta Function
- Fundamental Domain
- Eisenstein Series
- Cusp Form
- Dirichlet Series
