Abstract

The traditional place of old people in our society has been expulsion and rejection. While this model is beginning to change, old age has meant by and large the loss of citizen rights, worse quality of life and withdrawal from social relationships. Therefore, in old age it seems that the citizen and its individual character are substituted for a “cog in the wheel”, along the same vein as “replaceable” (Klein 2015, 2022).
