From Complexity to Systems

Abstract

The basic principles of the theory of systems developed by Karl Ludwig von Bertalanffy are explained through its historical development. Some of the most important concepts in the theory of systems, such as the problem of function, problem of the analogous epistemologies in sciences, as well as the impact of the environment, are anticipated.
