Abstract

The rapid growth of the food delivery industry in Thailand has brought various challenges affecting the environment and the stakeholders in the industry. These challenges intensify energy consumption, plastic waste, and poor well-being and protection for food delivery riders. This book chapter illustrates how the remarkable trend of food delivery service during COVID-19 affects the industry as well as the environment. Furthermore, practical solutions to the consequences are also provided to mitigate the environmental impacts and promote sustainability in the industry.
