Abstract

Transformational creativity is the generation of ideas and products that help, at some level, to make the world a better place. It is the kind of creativity by which anyone can make a positive, meaningful, and potentially enduring difference to the world. Transformational creativity has an exceptionally important role to play in today’s world in part because of the increasing frequency of reality capture—the capture by unscrupulous government officials, corporate forces, or individuals of people’s conceptions of what is real and what is not. Transformational creativity is a viable way to combat dystopian capture of reality.
