ESG-Screening of Remote Investment in Sustainable Development: The Environmental and Legal Dimension

Abstract

The article presents a study of remote investment using ESG - screening, which is relevant in the light of expanding investment horizons and prospects in environmental and related activities. Emphasizing the attention of the scientific community and practitioners on “green investing” (Davydova, M.L., Makarov, V.O. (2021). Smart Technologies in Lawmaking: Towards the Concept of Smart Regulation. In: Popkova, E.G., Sergi, B.S. (eds) “Smart Technologies” for Society, State and Economy. ISC 2020. Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, vol 155. Springer, Cham. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-59,126-7_142 (2020)) or investment in sustainable development provided the identification of its advantages and disadvantages. The authors analyzed foreign experience and substantiated the Russian specifics of building business strategies in accordance with the goals of sustainable development, as well as remote investment in the environmental and legal sphere. Scientific and legal substantiation and adjusted in accordance with it application of ESG-screening in the Russian investment practice (on the example of the activities of a medical organization in the Tomsk region, as well as the analysis of investment and sustainable development of the Arctic region) will allow to ensure environmental growth and environmental safety.
