Abstract
Here we focus on the surgical options available to patients with Parkinson’s who are considering getting one of the advanced therapies. We list the advantages and disadvantages of each and try to explain how none are a one size fits all solution to the many problems these diseases present. We end by talking about why we chose DBS for Ben.
We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.
