Reprogramming the Brain

Abstract

Introduce the readers to Alex Reed and his Pakinson’s Therapy Center in Boario Terme, Italy where Ben learned about the importance of physical therapy. We also use this example to tackle some of the mythology surrounding terms like neuroplasticity as well as the placebo effect.

Any man could, if he were so inclined, be the sculptor of his own brain.

—Santiago Ramon Y Cajal, the father of neuroscience.
