Abstract
The chapter begins by giving our view as to why neurodegenerative diseases contribute to the rising tide of brain diseases that are sweeping across the fabric of society and document just how destabilizing and debilitating these diseases may soon be for individuals and society. It also includes a discussion on Covid-19 and the evidence both for and against linking that outbreak to neurodegeneration.
