Abstract
This chapter is about pillar number 2: the importance of ensuring that every patient has a competent surgeon who answers their questions in a direct and forthcoming manner. Here we also delve deeper into Ben’s surgery as he recalls the day and gives reader a sense of what it was like. We also give readers more tools to help guide them and their families through the day if 1 day they need to go through this as well.
