Zusammenfassung

Der Eindruck, den Sie von jemandem haben, hängt von Ihrer Aufmerksamkeit, Motivation und früheren Erfahrungen ab, sowie vom Aussehen und Verhalten dieser Person. Mit anderen Worten, die soziale Wahrnehmung oder wie wir andere wahrnehmen ist ein bidirektionaler Weg, welcher sowohl die wahrnehmende als auch die wahrgenommene Person involviert. Da Schlaf eine Rolle in beiden Prozessen spielen kann, betrachtet dieses Kapitel die Auswirkungen des Schlafes auf die Wahrnehmung anderer Menschen sowie darauf, wie Sie von andren wahrgenommen werden. Mit Themen, die von ersten Eindrücken und Emotionserkennung bis hin zu Stereotypisierung und Vertrauen reichen, geben wir einen Überblick über die aktuelle Literatur zum Thema Schlaf und soziale Eindrücke und diskutieren Möglichkeiten und potenzielle Fallstricke zukünftiger Forschung in diesem Bereich.
