Logotherapy and Existential Analysis

Abstract

Viktor Frankl’s contributions to the prevention and treatment of suicidality were evaluated. A review of the literature was carried out analyzing the historical context of suicide in the city of Vienna between the First and Second World Wars and the evolution of the present theme over almost seven decades of contributions. There was a constancy about the use of meaning in life as a method of suicide prevention, corroborating the importance of the topic in psychological treatment.
