A comprehensive examination of the progress in research incorporates to a meticulous evaluation of the various facets of the scientific landscape associated with Islamic crowdfunding. This study employs a bibliometric analysis to determine the prevailing research patterns, prominent authors, and extensively cited publications in the domain of Islamic crowdfunding. This study explores the intersection of Islamic finance and crowdfunding or crowdsourcing by conducting a screening methodology on April 2, 2023. The study employs a comprehensive set of keywords and search terms to examine titles, abstracts, and keywords within Scopus, a reputable database of peer-reviewed literature. The period covered is from 1987 and concludes in March 2023, with 218 publications already available online. The finding shows that the recent literature in 2022 focuses on “fintech,” “Islamic finance,” “Islamic crowdfunding,” “Islamic fintech,” and “blockchain,” which represents a shift from the more general topic of “crowdfunding” identified in 2020. The study found a steady growth in publications over time, which indicates an increasing interest in and recognition of Islamic crowdfunding in the academic community. This trend demonstrates the dynamic nature and expanding importance of research in this field. The present analysis posits that citation rates serve as a recommended indicator, while the impact factors of journals are quantitative and objective measures that are directly associated with the dissemination of scientific research. The present analysis offers a valuable synopsis of the prevailing research patterns and prominent contributors in the domain of Islamic crowdfunding, in order to establish an overview for future study initiatives in this field.
