Abstract

Blockchain (BC) has become a popular technology in recent years due to its association with Bitcoin. The decentralized, secure, and transparent nature of blockchain technology has made it an attractive solution for a variety of possible use cases in several fields, including finance, industries and medical centers. IoT devices may be made more secure and tamper-proof by using this technology. A secure, decentralized ledger of transactions and data that can be accessed only by authorized parties may be made by using Blockchain technology. This can help prevent unauthorized access to IoT devices and data, which can be crucial for maintaining the privacy and security of sensitive information. Many researchers are becoming more interested in using blockchain technology to guarantee IoT data privacy without the requirement for a centralized data access paradigm. The Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS) has emerged as a key technology to provide decentralized access control. This article examines several current methods related to integrating Blockchain technology and IoT. The fundamental idea behind this current survey is to address the security issues associated with the integration of IoT and blockchain technology with the help of IPFS. Finally, this paper discusses the challenges and future enhancements for BC-IoT-based systems.
