Abstract
There is an important role that the well testing methods play in evaluating reservoir characteristics and performance of horizontal wells. This is done by monitoring the pressure response of the wellbore and formation during a controlled change in production or injection rate. Pressure transient testing and related concepts help in the evaluation of horizontal wells. This is done by monitoring the pressures of the wellbore and formation during a controlled change in production or injection rate.
