Abstract
This work explores the field of nonlinear optimization, focusing on the complexity of solving real-world problems with nonlinear functions, continuous variables, and various constraints. It addresses the iterative nature of these optimization problems and their convergence to locally optimized solutions.
The following article is based in part on two essays which have been written by my students Launore Daqi, Moritz Heinen, Iris Kontra, Moritz Kraus, Anna Olbrück, Maike Reineke, Jean- Philippe Reuß, Dominik Stier, and Robert Wagner in the winter term 2020/2021. Should any mistakes remain, such errors shall be exclusively at the expense of the author.
