Abstract

The turbulent flow about blunt, rectangular bodies is often encountered in civil and wind engineering applications as well as in land transport vehicles. Relevant examples include deck slabs of long-span bridges and high-rise buildings of rectangular section and the problem of the aerodynamics of vehicles of simple shape like trucks and trains.
