Abstract

Predictive, preventive and personalisation of medical care (PPPM) tailored to an individual is important for alleviating the risk of disease development and the subsequent morbidity and mortality rate. As part of the efforts in lowering the prevalence and incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in healthcare management, the approach plays a central role. One such PPPM concept, the suboptimal health status (SHS) evaluation has proven to be reliable for the identification of persons at risk, patient’s surveillance, prediction, patients’ stratification for the optimal treatment planning, and reduction of drug–disease or adverse drug–drug interactions. This book chapter gives the updates of SHS as a new PPPM measure and provides targeted treatment algorithm options towards highly risk individuals who develop non-communicable diseases.
