Abstract
The paper’s goal is to evaluate the natural wealth of Ukraine with application of the natural capital concept. The approach represents classification of natural resources with assessment of their reproduction and capitalization indicators. The natural capital is assessed summing up values of natural resources (land, water, forest and minerals) by territories and sectors. Natural resources are evaluated with income approach or the capital circulation. It presumes assessment of social and economic efficiency of the natural resources use, investments, and natural rent. Emergency coefficient is determined with rate of income from ecological or reproductive rent taking into account other factors of the capital reproduction. It is proved that land and mineral resources prevail in the natural wealth’s structure, and land resources are the most expensive component of the natural wealth. The mineral resources are important since they determine the national economy’s structure. In many regions of Ukraine forests are the prominent resource. Almost every the region has one or more key components of the natural wealth, and it advances the competitiveness of a regional economy. The study depicts the value and regional distribution of the natural wealth of Ukraine both in total and per capita in some points are lower than in average for the world.
