Abstract
This chapter reports on the challenges posed by the intrusion of partisan politics into the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church through the political influence and unethical behaviour of Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei. The study used critical discourse analysis of published academic writings and newspaper articles as well as the primary documents of the SDA church. The study found that capitalist infiltration was threatening to align the SDA Church with Zanu-PF strategies and reshape the church’s teachings, traditions, doctrines, and principles. It was also discovered that church leaders directly resisted the intrusion of Zanu-PFism into the SDA. They expose the folly of following party politics through social media and the newspapers. The chapter concludes by underscoring the importance of establishing the truthfulness of the allegations and making appropriate actions to uphold the principles and the values of the SDA church.
