Zusammenfassung
Blockchain ist eine aufregende neue digitale Technologie, die in ihrer kurzen Existenz umstritten war. In diesem Kapitel wollen wir all den Hype und die Kontroversen um diese Technologie vermeiden und mehr über ihren historischen Ursprung, die zugrunde liegende Technologie und ihre Funktionsweise erfahren. Wir beginnen dieses Kapitel mit einer kurzen Geschichte des Geldes und des Hauptbuchs, gefolgt von einem Überblick über die soziotechnologische Bewegung, die zur Schaffung der Blockchain führte. Als nächstes werden die Technologien, die die Blockchain möglich gemacht haben, kurz diskutiert. Schließlich wird eine einfache technische Erklärung gegeben, wie diese Technologie funktioniert. Es wurde versucht, die technischen Konzepte so einfach wie möglich zu halten und schematische Figuren zur Erklärung komplexer Informatikkonzepte für nicht-technische Leser zu verwenden.
