Notwithstanding the slower pace of adoption compared to sectors like finance and education, the impact of these innovative technologies on public administration can be substantial. The chapter offers a detailed overview of how ChatGPT can enhance citizen engagement, streamline administrative processes, aid in policy development and analysis, and encourage inter-agency collaboration. It discusses potential applications, such as improving governmental communication, automating mundane tasks, and identifying policy trends. Equally important, the chapter addresses the ethical challenges that come with the use of AI in government, including data privacy, security, transparency, and the necessity of maintaining public trust. Moreover, the chapter introduces the exciting possibility of integrating ChatGPT with Web3 to revolutionize government services like citizen services, tax filing, and voting processes.
