Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft einer mexikanischen Ethnopsychologie

Zusammenfassung

Zu Beginn der psychologischen Untersuchung wurde die Notwendigkeit anerkannt, eine biologische und soziokulturelle Wissenschaft des Verhaltens zu bilden. Das Ziel, diese Perspektiven zu kombinieren, um eine objektive, generalisierbare und kultursensible Psychologie zu schaffen, ist jedoch immer noch eine Baustelle. Die funktionalistische biopsychologische Position hat die interne Validität und die Entdeckung universeller Verhaltensgesetze geschätzt, die über die Grenzen individueller, sozialer, kultureller, ökosystemischer und historischer Vermittler hinausgehen. Im Gegensatz dazu kann aus der soziokulturellen Perspektive jede Aussage, die soziokulturelle und Ökosystemvariablen ausschließt, keine externe Validität erreichen. Angesichts des unbestreitbaren und tief verwurzelten sozialen Charakters der menschlichen Spezies muss die psychologische Wissenschaft sowohl bioevolutionäre als auch soziokulturelle Variablen einbeziehen, um interne und externe Validität zu erreichen. Das Wachstum der interkulturellen Psychologie und später der indigenen Psychologien hat zunehmend gezeigt, dass das Verständnis des Verhaltens einen multitheoretischen, mehrdimensionalen und multimethodologischen Ansatz erfordert. Die aus der mexikanischen Ethnopsychologie hervorgehenden Forschungsarbeiten und Theorien bieten einen Bauplan für eine bereicherte und generalisierbare, aber spezifisch anwendbare Wissenschaft des menschlichen Verhaltens. Ein Weg wurde eingeschlagen, um globale und lokale Erkenntnisse zu integrieren. Die Befolgung des Bauplans rigoroser empirischer Forschung, die bioevolutionäre und ökosystemische und soziokulturelle Variablen umfasst, wird den Weg für eine wirklich generalisierbare Wissenschaft ebnen.
