Abstract

Para dance sport is an adaptive sport, derived from DanceSport. The sport name changed from Wheelchair Dance Sport to Para dance sport in 2016. This chapter will highlight Para dance sport rules and regulations, athlete classification system, and equipment. Although there is not significant evidence for alterations in biomechanics leading to common injuries in this sport, the authors will discuss the injuries that most frequently occur.
