Abstract

Blood circulation may be checked using a vascular ultrasound, a noninvasive ultrasound technique in which sound waves are delivered through the tissue to evaluate limbs, neck, and abdomen. Physicians are able to determine the rate of flowing blood cells inside blood arteries by using the reflected sound waves. The waves of sound are captured and shown graphically on a computer monitor.
