Abstract
Increasingly, police services globally are experimenting with the use of advanced, predictive data analysis in their triage and focusing on abuse in particular abusive ‘dyads’ or relationships. While different police uses of data analytics are not without controversy, this chapter highlights why there is, in the UK, a human rights law duty to consider the use and indeed the increase in scope for predictive analytics focused on preventing domestic abuse.
