Abstract

Advanced therapeutic endoscopy comprises highly specialized procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Main EUS therapeutic techniques are outlined in this chapter: EUS-guided fine needle aspiration/biopsy (FNA/FNB), celiac plexus neurolysis, and EUS-guided drainage. ERCP techniques are also briefly discussed, including the role in choledocholithiasis and stenting for benign/malignant tumors.
