Textbook of Otitis Media

Abstract

In an illustrated and step-by-step manner, this chapter proposes to demonstrate one of the surgical techniques for tympanoplasty. The approaches for tympanoplasty (transcanal, endaural, retroauricular, or endoscope) are discussed in a separate chapter in this book. In this chapter, we illustrate the technique with retroauricular access and the positioning of the graft laterally to the tympanic remnants (overlay).
