Abstract

The evaporation of petroleum products during storage and transportation is usually between 1% and 6% of total anthropogenic emission sources. Up to 40% of hydrocarbons emitted by road transport evaporate from fuel tanks and fuel systems of cars with gasoline engines. Such emissions lead to significant pollution of the environment and can cause fire hazards. In the context of the global problem of depletion of energy resources and the associated environmental degradation, the relevance of this problem is not in doubt and only confirms that the reduction of gasoline losses from evaporation remains an important environmental and economic problem. The solution to it requires the introduction of the latest scientific achievements and improvement of petroleum products evaporation capture technologies.
