Abstract
Russia’s re-invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has changed the shape of defence policy discussions everywhere, leading many countries to increase military spending. Like other NATO and G7 countries, Canada moved to support the Ukrainian military with arms transfers, such as anti-tank weapon systems, as well as various other forms of aid, including sanctions targeting Kremlin assets.
