Abstract

A case of a 72-year-old woman with local advanced differentiated thyroid cancer with esophageal and tracheal involvement is presented. She is treated by surgical resection and postoperative treatment. The rationale to give additional treatment with external beam radiation (EBRT) is discussed along with the evidence to support its use. A brief description of her subsequent EBRT and outcome is given.
