Abstract
Peripheral vascular disease affects millions of people worldwide causing a multitude of symptoms ranging from pain to tissue loss. The most severe form, critical limb-threatening ischemia, has a high mortality rate. Various treatments exist to help preserve the limb and improve patient symptoms. A multidisciplinary approach must exist to succeed in limb preservation, as we will further discuss in detail in subsequent chapters.
