Abstract
For the anterior neck mono PDO threads are ideal to improve skin laxity and texture. The mono threads stimulate collagen perhaps not to as great a degree as barbed threads or mesh threads, however, for the anterior neck where the skin is very thin it is difficult to place mesh threads or Barb threads without the thread showing through the skin. Therefore, it is best to use mono threads in this area. It is recommended to do at least three sessions 1 month apart to see significant improvement. This chapter will provide step-by-step instruction on how to perform this procedure to treat anterior neck skin laxity with mono PDO threads. The method of anesthesia and specification of thread sizes will be provided. The patterns of thread placement will be illustrated. Tips on technique for insertion will also be described.
