Abstract
Treatment of the chin with mesh or braided threads provides moderate volumization of the chin as well as tightening, smoothing of the skin overlying the chin. This is helpful for counteracting the aging process of skeletal resorption along the jawline, fat loss, dimpling of the chin, and overall shortening of the face that occurs due to changes in the chin area. This procedure may also help diminish the marionette lines by volumizing this area as well as smoothing the skin. This chapter will outline the steps to perform the procedure of mesh treads insertion for chin treatment. Illustration of the pattern of threads placement is included as well as specification of size of threads. Tips to perform the procedure with ease and avoid complications are provided.
