Abstract

This is the case of a young patient with infectious mononucleosis and SARS-CoV-2 infection who had suddenly collapsed. Upon evaluation, it was identified to have a ruptured spleen in the absence of any obvious trauma. An urgent splenectomy was performed, and the patient made a good recovery. This case discusses a non-traumatic rupture of a normal-sized spleen with one well-known and one evolving underlying aetiology.
