Abstract
Building on the conservation of resources (COR) theory, this chapter examined the link between green human resources management (GHRM) practices and green management innovation. In this link, climate for green initiative was utilized as an intervening mechanism. Data were collected from employees working in Palestinian nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results suggested that GHRM positively impacts green management innovation, whereas this link is mediated by the climate for green initiative. This study is novel because it investigates the organizational drivers of green management innovation; a construct that has received little attention. Furthermore, the study enriches the GHRM literature in a nonwestern and nonindustry setting.
