Blue Laser Surgery in Laryngology

Abstract

It is essential for surgeons to understand the unique anatomy of the microcirculation of the vocal fold. Symptomatic vascular lesions such as some varices and ectasias may require treatment. The tissue absorption characteristics of blue laser make it ideal for management of such lesions in the operating room or in the office.
