Abstract

When writing this book, the COP26 event occurred in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Thirty years after the first UNFCCC conference in Rio de Janeiro, it became clear that the historical implications of obstructive efforts to undermine climate policy had stalled international agreements, undermined nationally determined contributions and GHG emissions targets, and as the IPCC ARC 6th Report revealed that the world would probably exceed the initial 1.5 degree increase in Earth’s Temperature.
