Abstract
Identification and classification of a burn in a pediatric patient has significant implications for care and possible transfer to a burn center. This chapter discusses characteristics of different burn classifications as well as the evidence based management required to decrease the risk of disability. A must know list of indications for admission versus transfer to a burn center is also included.
