Abstract

In order to practice evidence-based medicine effectively, the ability to interpret and communicate statistical analyses is essential. The following chapter will review types of study design including their strengths and weaknesses as well as the appropriate type of analysis used for each. Additionally, it will describe statistical analyses that are commonly found throughout medical literature.
