Abstract
Oropharyngeal dysphagia might occur secondary to various diseases. Aspiration pneumonia, supporting failed muscular chest power, and compensating the increased resistance through oro(naso)pharyngeal/hypopharyngeal area are the main factors for using noninvasive mechanical ventilation in these patients. However, noninvasive mechanical ventilation should be cautiously used in patients with swallowing disorders.
